I noticed on Jeff's web site that the Cont cannot take advantage of having a crossover. They claim that the VW can, I wonder why? Also, I have noticed that the Vairs don't use crossover. Is this just for convenience, or does the same apply?
Speaking of progress, my engine bottom end is at Roy's for the front bearing and some other work, and my pistons, rods, cylinders and stuff are at Larry s for boring, balancing, and stuff. Still too many decisions to make on the Vair. Dual ignition/Starter set up/oil pan. After that, it is just money and time. I am keeping a complete spread sheet of the parts that I am using, who does the work, where the parts come from, and what they cost. I am very interested to see what a Vair that is a combination of Professional and Amateur (me) built, costs.
