A quick check in the archives will give you lots of results of people who
have used other than wooden props on VWs and cracked cranks. Composite will
not absorb vibrations and flex like wood will to preserve the crank; it
sends the vibrations and oscilations back to it. Same with metal props....

prop, Was looking on the 'Great Plains site and they said use wood props
only DO
 NOT USE COM POSITE PROPS. Can anyone tell me why they say this?
