Netters:
Has anyone explored stick welding Poly-Ethylene or propylene plastics to say 1/16th inch thick max--- non Structural Don Don I have welded both plastics. In converting my RTS bus to an RV it has come in handy to be able to fabricate and alter your own tanks. What you need is a small air compressor and a plastic welder. Harbor freight has one (plastic welder) for about 30 bucks, it comes complete with an air regulator and assorted welding rods. I could give you some pointers if need be but, it's not too hard. If you can weld 4130 you can certainly weld plastic. However 1/16" will require a light touch my tanks are at least 1/8" Jon ________________________________________________________________________ This communication is for use by the intended recipient and contains information that may be privileged, confidential or copyrighted under law.
