I think that the Corvair being 6 cylinders should have more power than the VW, but I still think that because they can only run a small prop for the size of the engine,and need high RPM compared to a geared VW engine,(eg RG2000 or Great Plains VW) they do not use their complete potential. If I had made a comment that most Corvair owners would soon a geared RG2000, I would have been placed in front of a Langford, Jones and KRnet Firing squad.
