Well, this is kinda funny. Almost funny enough to make me cry. Carolyn from Aircraft Spruce called and asked if I was happy with the shipment. I walked out onto the porch and saw a pile of trash near the door, the remains of the box and packing. It seems the kids' black Lab puppy had struck again! I sifted through the remains hoping that the position sensor had been spared, but eventually found the plastic wrapper that it had been wrapped in. I never found the sensor, so I suspect it was a chew toy for the morning. Carolyn was still on the phone, so she got the UPS insurance process under way for a replacement.
This same dog ate a $400 chip for my car about 6 months ago, because the UPS man practically fed the package to the dog, despite a big sign admonishing "UPS, FEDEX...Please put packages on shelf, dog will EAT anything left on porch!" I guess the morning guy hadn't been indoctrinated yet, and didn't bother to read the sign or put the package on the shelf, so my sensor is toast now. I guess I deserve it for being such a whiner. Maybe I'll have better luck welding up the last of my intake manifold... Mark Langford, Huntsville, Alabama N56ML "at" hiwaay.net see KR2S project at http://home.hiwaay.net/~langford
