Thanks Larry, Kevin, Kenneth, and all who answered the
question about special airworthiness certificates.
After I asked the question I looked through all my
paperwork and found the second part of the
airworthiness certificate- The operating
limitations.During section one the aircraft can only
be operated in an area designated by the DAR, After 40
hrs. phase 2 goes into effect and the aircraft can be
flown anywhere and with a passenger. (after making the
logbook endorsement). On the back of the A/Certificate
it states that it is effective for the duration unless
surrendered, or revoked. The first page of the
operating limitations states that-"THESE OPERATING
LIMITATIONS SHALL BE ACCESSIBLE TO THE PILOT". So I
guess that means they are essentially a part of the
certificate, they must be carried in the aircraft as
well as the certificate itself. Thanks, Rick Wilson.
