I probably should have phrased that better... the V-Twin construction follows the typical 4 cycle configuration; the mag fires on every revolution and the power strokes are controlled by cam timing. Take the cover off the mag and watch the lobe and point actuation - that will tell you if you are timed for a "waste" stroke.
