Well I'll be building on a pretty tight budget, and the airframe kit is 
$2,000 cheaper for the KR2 than the KR2S. I also like the look of the 
KR2 more than the KR2S...just a personal preference thing. I know the 
KR2 has a quirk or two, but they're minor things I can adapt to without 
a problem. I know the KR2 has a slightly smaller cabin, but my wife and 
I are both pretty small people (both under 5'6", both under 180 lbs).

I know $2k may not seem like much in the grand scheme but there isn't 
much in the KR2S that convinces me to pay an extra two thousand dollars 
for it, especially if the KR2 can do the same job.

I am very curious about the useful load issue though.
