I don't want this to turn into a who breaks whom, but let's face it. In this
case KWin has been using Alt for this behavior much longer than Krita existed.
Given the strong KDE reliance of Krita it's surprising that a shortcut was
picked which obviously cannot work on a default KDE/Plasma session.

If we would change Alt to Meta or something else we would just start to break
other applications. Alt is the key belonging to the window manager as we can
see with shortcuts as Alt+Tab. It's extremely difficult to use any shortcuts
for a window manager. We used to have Ctrl+tab for switching desktops and then
Firefox took it for switching tabs. If we please everyone we end up with a
useless desktop.

I'm open to ideas how Krita could indicate to KWin that they need the Alt key
now, which would be a way better solution than changing the default. E.g. a
property containing a region in which alt should be ignored. Due to technical
difficulties that could only be added on Wayland, though.
