Uh-huh.
And when web pages _don't_ follow the standards, they can't be
seen on browsers by any companies that don't know the un-standard.
Certain companies seem to make use of that sort of thing to lock
people into thier products.

sorry Jenn, if someone innovates a new feature whether on the
web or tv broadcasting and it has value to most customers the
manufacturers will have it in place whether in hard or software
within a few months , at least those that are fast on their feet.
Backward compatibility is the product of sweat, blood and ulcers of
numerous techs.
