Sure, but only when you have to 'carry' your resume with you to 'show' it
to someone. I mean, sending a resume in PDF format as an attachment even in
zipped form will add somewhere around (atleast) 35K. PS formats will be even
heavier ... and zipping them with even -9 will not cause any significant shrink

Another solution could be to write your resume in plain text using your
favorite text editor and running them through 'expand' and 'unix2dos' filters.
And save your resume as 'resume.doc' so that when your resume reaches the other
end ... the stupid guy wanting to read ur resume dbl-clicks on the attachement
and launches MS-Worm.
(But the formatting in ur plain text resume should be intelligent enough to
 look well organized in MS-Worm)
Even if you DO send it as just plain text without the .doc extension ... make
it a `point to run them through 'expand' and 'unix2dos'.

(I believe there are enough tools provided by FSF for all of us to get rid of
MS, you just have to look around for what you want.)

Regards,
Gagan.
