I am a member on a lot of lists and newsgroups, and imho the best solution for these kinda ppl who are repeat offenders.. and ppl who hav been told abt their offences repeatedly shud hav some sense.. If the person is a 11 year old kid, then i feel that he shud hav some sense. I think that any 5 year old kid starts behaving if u tell them
Personally i hav had enough of this muskan problem, and he is now in my block list... > > abt you, but there might be ppl on this list who are on a dialup and using > > pop3 to retrieve this list, and on a dialup if u have to receive 3-4 useless > > mails on a slow connection, things start getting irritating after some time > > esp if they are slightly big mails. > > Oh, people with such problems should do as you have done - have > killfiles. I personally have a small killfile containing email > addresses of "beloved" friends who consider me so close that they just > *have to* share their dailyjoke.com emails with me, every day. ;) but killfiles operate after u hav downloaded the mails.. and not b4 u download them, as i always direct my killfile mail to trash so that i never miss anything! > > Also this is not the first time that we have been facing this muskan > > problem, and i don't think that it wud be the last time if he is not banned > > from this list. > > A more diplomatic and peaceful solution to mailing list problems is to > just ignore the mails from the sender. Works for most mailing-list problems anyway. > Responding to mails that ppl don't agree with prolongs the discussion, > causes heartaches/headaches, wastes bandwidth, and in general spreads > a bad feeling around. i hav tried it a lot, but this person has really got me bugged this time.. most problems go away, but this is a problem that has been here for a long time, and now is the time to get rid of it! And i think that at least on this list, if we ban muskan there wud only be a sense of relief.. and no bad feelings. It is ok if some1 slips sometimes, but a person behaving like a spoilt 11 year old for months is not a good thing... > > PS2: I hav another suggestion to reduce the bw taken up by this list.. > > everyone pls delete all unneeded text from any msg that u reply to. esp > > things like the mailing list signature that u c below... since that is > > automatically added to each msg.. > > I second this too. I know.. i also second this proposal.. though i hav seen that a lot of ppl quote the whole mail when replying.. and when u hav this going on for a few mails things do get bad :( Bye, /\ |\/| |3 /\ r ================================================ To subscribe, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with subscribe in subject header To unsubscribe, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with unsubscribe in subject header Archives are available at http://www.mail-archive.com/ilugd%40wpaa.org =================================================
