hi, in translation of strings what number to people use. English has the word 'you' with no plural form. In indian languages we have singular and plural for both pronouns and verbs - we usually use the plural to be polite or show respect. In doing tamil translation it sounds a bit rude to use 'nee'(you in singular) instead of 'neengal'(you in plural - or to show respect). How about other languages?
(I hope I do not get chucked for using two tamil words) -- regards KG http://lawgon.livejournal.com _______________________________________________ ILUGC Mailing List: http://www.ae.iitm.ac.in/mailman/listinfo/ilugc
