We do help such by providing glossary at the end of an essay/ book or by giving the equivalent word in brackets when that incurs for the first time in a given essay or book. ஒரே பொருளை குறிக்கும் பல சொற்கள் இருக்கலாம். அவற்றை பல காரணிகள் தீர்மானிக்கின்றன. கலைச் சொற்கள் என்று வருகிற போது பொதுததன்மை இருத்தல் நல்லது. அவற்றை மக்களிடையே கொண்டு செல்லுதல் அந்த அந்த துறை சார்ந்த எழுத்தாளர்களின் கடமைகளுள் ஒன்று. அம்மா என்றால் mother என்று இயல்பாய் தோன்றுவது போலவே இத்தகைய கலைச் சொற்களும் தோன்ற வேண்டும். அதுதான் தீர்வு. அதற்கு குறிப்பிட்ட சொல்லானது பரவலான புழக்கத்திற்கு வரும் வரையில், புரிந்து கொள்ள ஏதுவாக கட்டுரைகளின் நிறைவில் கலைச்சொற் பட்டியல் போன்றவற்றை கொடுத்தும் உதவலாம். அப்படித்தான் மாவட்டம், மாநிலம், உறுப்பினர் போன்ற சொற்கள் புழக்கத்திற்கு வந்து இன்று குறிப்பிடப்பட்டவுடனேயே மக்கள் அறியும்படி திகழ்கின்றன. -- ஆமாச்சு
