The concern was about the clutter that the additional message lines
would cause. Also, the same explanation lines are repeated in each
instance of the error message, so there would be a lot of redundancy.
If the extra lines are pure boilerplate and not id and value then why
not have a database where you can plug in the message number and
display the added text? I have a vague memory of being able to do
this. It might have just been the ability to look the message up
online in the Messages and Codes Manual.
