Any progress, please, on bug 1258 (old bugtracker)? At least, could someone document, please, how "cf_promises_validated" is supposed to behave, regarding the "masterfiles" directory on the server and the "inputs" directory on each client (including within the server itself). We are getting several machines reporting a couple of different types of failure several times a day. Our config is 3.3.4, with the five main ".cf" files (cfengine_stdlib.cf failsafe.cf promises.cf site.cf update.cf) being as close as possible to those from the distributed RPM. As far as possible, all our local additions are in separate ".cf" files listed in "promises.cf". (All that is a very long-winded way of saying: in the context of this problem, we're running as close to "as distributed" as possible.) Could someone describe, please, how "cf_promises_validated" is supposed to behave?
