I would argue that the Project Call, while it has always been…. passively open
(as in one *could* join) has not bee, during my time here, actively transparent
(as in easy for a total novice to the project to navigate and gain value from)
so I am not sure this is a big loss. I feel like the ways to reach people we
don’t know at all are diffeent.

I approve of getting this data, and I see the value in this approach if the
data supports spending energy…. I do not however, based on my work as the lead
of the pathways WG and a member of the community building team, have a strong
sense or any anecdotal evidence that new people join through the project call
today.
