We could rather easily add per-language "pretranslation" scripts in damned-lies, so as you have only to push a button to get a "translated" file that you can then proofread with the vertimus workflow. "Upload a translation" actions in damned-lies already generate mail. Of course, auto-commits will also improve the process, when it's ready.
