The followup discussion seems to be running in circles, with no clear compromises or alternative solutions being presented. Meanwhile a few opponents of this proposal have mentioned that their opinion has changed and a few others that they'd accept the majority decision and that we should move on. So, unless within a week from now we start seeing constructive efforts at forming an alternative policy (or clarifying the current undocumented policy) that we could vote on, I will declare this vote as passing and implement the proposed change based on the measured majority.
