The paraconsistency point is often swamped because of our fetish for contradiction (consistency). Dave's broken left-right brain metaphor is yet another example. The accusations of contrarianism or opposition are more insidious confusions. They myopically present apparent contradiction, which risks a nihilistic shunt. Paraconsistent logics facilitate reasoning through apparent contradiction and allow for the more effective focus on completeness.
