You did notice that it will launch by 2026. There is a good probability
that Tesla will have theirs before then.
Tesla is smart enough not to announce things WAY in advance, when doing
so might hurt demand for what they already sell.
I'd bet they won't really announce the vehicle until it's about to start
rolling off the production line.
And as for putting so much energy into the CyberTruck. A) It's being
built in space that was previously reserved to do that in an existing
factory. B) It's WILDLY popular, C) It will be a hi-profit item - which
helps pay for these new factories.
And yes, Legacy car makers are making EV's in their legacy factories -
just not for a profit.
