You can measure the resistance of the connections without taking them apart. Then only clean the ones that have a higher-than-normal resistance. All you need is a normal multimeter and a source of a known current (like your charger).

The technique has been described many times on the EVDL. It must be in the archives somewhere. Before I type it all in yet again, maybe we can find it?
