As long as it doesn't slip on the plates elastomer coating it might be ok. We'll find out.
I still have 11 parts to make, so I'm hoping this lasts long enough as is. Once this 3rd body is done, sometime tomorrow, I have to make some measurements once the bearings are here, (maybe today yet) and make the 6 new bearing carriers scaled up accordingly for full engagement, and just to make it easy on the flexgears, make 3 more of those scaled up accordingly. Its not required that the teeth have more clearance than required to clear as they hop over each other and making it bigger will reduce the flex needed and prolong its life by many times. > Are you still using SD cards? Its on a folding yard sale table with all its jiggles but sitting on the foam of the top of its shipping container, so its even moderately sound-proofed to the sagging masonite of the tables top. I've considered bringing in an 18" concrete paver to add some mass to its base, but it hasn't happened. Since the drivers I have are higher current than the drivers in a floppy drive, they are what I took out of the 6040's control box before the rest of it including the imitation vfd hit the junk trailer, I found some nema-17's at 92oz/in at a $20 bill each, and free ship, from the states, should be here Monday. Driving those with the TB6600's turned down should match up fairly well, and since I have 4 of them I bought 4 of those motors.
