Thanks Doug

What kind of problems could we expect in a room with spec «"Typical > 40dB of
shielding effectiveness"?

Noise from sources outside the chamber? Not possible to make an ambient
measurement without a lot of noise coming in from the outside environment?

Best regards

Amund

Amund,

I remain a little skeptical of this type of shielding and I personally would
want to witness some testing where these shielding claims are made. It may be
useful for E-fields, but my suspicion lies with H-fields. Some years ago,
there was a company that claimed their conductive spray paints were all you
need and you get "perfect" shielding. Bottom line is "your mileage may vary".

The shield room I was involved with some years ago had a steel outer skin and
inner skin, laminated on both sides on high density particle board and sealed
at every seam. This was able to achieve shielding effectiveness of 100 dB plus
up to 3 GHz. If all you need is the "Typical > 40dB of shielding
effectiveness", then maybe this will work for you.

Best of luck,

-Doug

Please check out the datasheet attached.

Anyone here in the forum that have experience with this type of shielding? The
goal is => a manufacturer wants to build a pre-testing site in-house (5m x 2m x
2m).

Thanks for any comments.
