Hi James, In the USA vehicles are covered by Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS), which do not address EMC/EMI. Part 15.103 excludes vehicles, except for the general clause that they cannot cause harmful interference. The normal intentional testing and certification would be required for a radio.
All the automotive manufacturers have their own internal specifications, usually far exceeding the requirements from ECE R10.
