"1) IF contains the current operating frequency and changes between transmit/receive. 2) IF does not contain a "PTT" flag to indicate when the transceiver switches to transmit."
1 is true but 2 is not true. IF P8 encodes the TX/RX status. If you had read my paper you would have seen - "The response to the IF; command includes, as parameter P8, information on whether the TS-590 is currently receiving or transmitting. The SDA 100 firmware could be modified to read the status of P8 and inhibit tuning if P8=1(TX active)." The K4 IF structure is the same as Kenwood and K3 so it also includes TX/RX status. 73, Andy, k3wyc ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Elecraft@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html Message delivered to arch...@mail-archive.com
