You are aware that we're at code point ~66 of 61000-ish possible
non-reserved values, right? (See
https://www.iana.org/assignments/dns-parameters/dns-parameters.xhtml#dns-parameters-4
for the table and procedures.)
Burning a code point is not a concern in terms of resource exhaustion....
