Before doing all the work again, have a quick check in Trac: I know you already have #3097 in there waiting to be applied, but if you could see if #3565 (done by somebody else) can be merged in with that and your updates, that would be great. In general, this report http://code.djangoproject.com/query?status=new&status=assigned&status=reopened&component=Translations&order=priority should show all the outstanding translation patches at any given moment.
