http://www.usbwifi.orconhosting.net.nz/ The last few WiFi USB units I bought were $15 each. You could build a proof of concept very cheaply and easily. > And what equipment, specifically, do you recommend for the radio gear > on each end? Just some linksys boxes doing WDS? The cheap choice is to go to Goodwill and pick up a couple of old WRT-54 units and install dd-wrt. That wouldn't give you 802.11n, but it is cheap. Given that I value my time a little more, I would probably go for a unit with a faster CPU, more memory and gigabit ethernet. Hook up a gain antenna, install dd-wrt and you should be ready to go. Again, these are _cheap_ solutions that may be completely acceptable in your application. -- Matt It's not what I know that counts. It's what I can remember in time to use. _______________________________________________ Discuss mailing list Discuss@lopsa.org http://lopsa.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/discuss This list provided by the League of Professional System Administrators http://lopsa.org/
