WiFi with a 20dB gain dish antenna on each end will easily reach that distance. 54Mbit data rate shouldn't be a problem, but of course your throughput will be less than half of that. The Effective Radiated Power (ERP) will be higher than the FCC allows, but there seems to be no enforcement. You should be able to easily build this for less than $200. Go with a couple of USB WiFi units and a couple of noodle strainers, and you should be able to do it for under $50. You could probably bond 2 or 3 of these to get the throughput you want. This might not be answer you're looking for, but it's cheap and may provide adequate performance. -- Matt It's not what I know that counts.
