Great idea.
You might want to consider making it a little less prescriptive as I know of
PMCs who for example:
- Use different votes lengths than 72 hours
- Require a differing amount of votes for the vote to pass (e.g. a super
majority of the PMC)
- Treat a -1 as a veto or don't
Most of these are not common, so what you have proposed would IMO fit the
majority of projects' needs. Worse case, the few project with differing needs
could just continue as they are and not use the tool?
