[orcmid] I am not saying that everyone is expected to test building from the source. However, those who make binding +1's must have done so according to the release policy. That is a necessary condition. We clearly want as many other +1's as we can get, all with identification of what was reviewed and confirmed. I agree that we want people to identify exactly what it is they confirmed in their review of a release candidate. Votes by PMC members might need to be identified as binding or not, or perhaps =0 votes could be provided when the mandatory checks are not completely carried out. If we want to accept binding +1's for some other pattern of review, I think it is necessary to obtain an exception to the policy. > So I think we can solve this by simply asking people to tell us what > they tested exactly, which unsurprisingly is what we have always done in > the past. > > Regards, > Andrea. > > --------------------------------------------------------------------- > To unsubscribe, e-mail: dev-unsubscr...@openoffice.apache.org > For additional commands, e-mail: dev-h...@openoffice.apache.org --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: dev-unsubscr...@openoffice.apache.org For additional commands, e-mail: dev-h...@openoffice.apache.org
