It looks as if I'm never gona find a fix. Subscribing to the mailing list doesn't seem to work, either, and I don't like forums. I could take a look at the source code and maybe figure it out, but maintaining my own version of evolution isn't something I'd be keen on. And that's assuming I could compile it, which probably isn't easy ...
