I would suggest to commit this to git, do a call for translators to update this new translation and then judge on the result to see if you have enough translations to release it for stretch. I know it's late in the release cycle, but we're not yet in deep freeze and the release team has always accomodated far more invasive changes to debian-installer in the past. But a plain reject at this point with the associated refusal for the blends to appear in the list is going to make everybody upset which is a pity since we have a rather good compromise here.
