Let's put it another way:

DebCamp, ignore DebConf week: 100 people attend 6 nights, but we are
paying for 235 for 6 nights

Now, 120 extra people come for `other event' for 6 nights, they pay 54%
of the contract for those nights. 4880 * 6 nights * 0.54 = 16,000 CHF

16k CHF: That is like having an extra gold sponsor. How much effort
does it take to find a gold sponsor? If the extra event during DebCamp
week had minimum effort, would that 16,000 CHF be welcome? Or it is
simply not needed at all?
