Two more general points on travel sponsorship: Besides being confusing, the "amount I am unable to fund myself" question seems unhelpful for when prices increase/decrease. Did we ever actually calculate the implied "amount I *can* fund myself" and make sure that that was deducted from the final request compared to the final ticket price?
Prices will often have gone up since the questions were asked, so whatever we do at this stage will tend to help people who inflated their initial answers more than those who tried to list a minimum price.
