Ciao Patrick, the Italian 'team' is formed by two people: Germano and myself. Germano takes care af the GUI translation, while the User Manual is my job. The only attention we use it to have consistency between GUI and User Manual so I consider Germano as the leader of the team and pay attention to use in the User Manual the exact terms he has used in the GUI. Moreover any other part of the User Manual explaining part of the interface (for example labels, messages, menus...) must be referred in the same way (but if you will translate both this is not your case).
Another attention you can take is to write down recurring terms and list the Finnish word you think is better. For example 'slider' can be translated in Italian as 'cursore' or also 'selettore scorrevole'. Both are correct and both are valid but you have to choose only one or you can create confusion among users. So in your list you can put 'slider' -> 'selettore scorrevole' so you can easily remember the term you usually use. Translaion memory of any software will surely help you but I think this is nevertheless a good habit.
