Hello!

It looks like the Finnish translation hasn't been updated for the last couple of years, so I´m wondering if it is ok, when I just take the reins and update the translation, so it can be used for the actual release. Or should I contact someone from the translation team first?

I´m also wondering, if there is a translation guideline for Darktable. I ask this, because I checked the current Finnish po-file briefly and found already some colloquial Finnish expressions, missing compounds and some smaller terminological inaccuracy. How do the translation teams for different languages handle this kind of issues?

In fact I'm keen on updating the Finnish translation, because I´m studying translation studies in Turku university in Finland and I´m looking for a topic for my master thesis. So my Idea is to write about the translation process in a open source project like Darktable. I write about this later, when I have more details about it.

Best regards
Patrick Bayer
