Filed the follow-up as #12371 — it tracks the end-to-end case (an ALTER-added `SET` / `ENUM` column flowing through the sink auto-create DDL against a real MySQL server), including the open point that `mysqlcdc_to_mysql_with_schema_change.conf` does not set `schema_save_mode` explicitly, so it needs confirming which mode the fixture actually exercises.
