When I had my marine repair business (paid hobby, basically), I did a teak hatch deck replacement job on a Grand Banks trawler. I worked with the Plasdeck folks. Nice to work with. I sent them measurements and they fabricated the PlasDeck deck with a border and a trim piece for under the hinges. I got the deck and a tube of adhesive from them.
I removed the old teak, prepped the hatch surface, spread the adhesive with a notched trowel, slapped the PlasDeck piece down, rolled it flat with a laminate roller, weighted it with buckets of water and let it cure overnight. Then I cut it with a utility knife and installed the lift rings. Fairly easy job. They advise making a pattern from thick brown paper and sending it to them. There are lots of videos for DIY decking. -- Dennis C.
