I was referring to premature failure of pumps due to low voltage. Just a
guess on my part.

Touche' has a Rule 1500 gph bilge pump that has worked well for 15+ years.
I use a Rule 35 float switch which has had one failure in 20 years. I have
not seen the high failure rate for rule pumps that others have seen.

On my list is to replace the Rule float switch with a USS mini float switch
if it will fit. The bilge on a 35-1 is fairly shallow.

My opinion is the USS mini switch is very reliable.
