My bilge pump outlets are aft on the starboard side right under the rail.

Subject: Stus-List Siphoning bilge pump hose?

On my 32, the bilge hose discharge thru hull is just above the water line under
the transom, port side.....not sure about the 41.....it had to be low to the
water line for a following sea to push water back in to siphon to the bilge.

Can you cut a new hole, can't see why not However, with the proper
precautions, I see no reason to go to that extreme. Mine has a high
loop and a check valve.

However, if the thru hull ever broke, my boat would sink.....I can't get easy
access to it to plug it.
