I have seen this too, but with a port midships discharge, I see it when on
a prolonged starboard tack. The first time on a night race and an empty
water bottle made a splash being dropped down the main hatch. I do have a
vented loop. I have to clean the rubber piece of the anti-siphon after it
happens, as the bilge contaminants will cause it to stick.
