As a note, the wiring diagram shows the preheat solenoid on the engine side of the harness connector. That leads me to believe it is attached to the engine and is not at the panel. Further, the hot lead to the solenoid is a #10 red wire from the hot connection on the starter solenoid. Follow that and it may lead to the preheat solenoid.
I intend to look at my engine next time I'm on the boat just to find it. I'm not good on engines so I want to find this thing. Dennis C.
