Charlie,
We still do end-for-end gybes. I run single sheets and twings, although I do own a set of guys. We seldom use them except in heavy air. The carbon pole helps a bit, but I wonder if dip pole gybes might be easier on my foredeck crew. We do them on Joel's boat and it works pretty well. I can definitely see the advantage in heavier air. Do most of you use end for end spin pole handling for jibing or dip pole? If dip pole, do you use 2 sets of lines? We are trying to get the foredeck dance down with dip pole jibes since it should be easier on the foredeck crew, especially in winds above 10 knots. Even with a carbon pole, 14 + feet is a little unwieldy in a breeze for end for end jibes. Charlie Nelson Water Phantom C&C 36 XL/kcb cenel...@aol.com
