I've been doing dip pole gybes for the past thirty-seven years. Even did it 
with my thirty foot Ericson. It's safer, and easier once you get the hang of 
it. Use the primaries for the guys, and the secondaries for the sheets. You'll 
have some on the list telling you that end for ends are easier, but I doubt 
whether they gave dip pole gybes a chance. I did end for end gybes on my first 
boat, a twenty-six footer, and once I switched to dip pole with my next boat, I 
never went back.
