Like Joe said, I don't expect to see many of the new 30's and 41's on the Miles
River. 7.5 to 8 foot draft! My slip is 5 feet at low tide (once in a while,
have to move the boat out to be ready for Wednesday night, as it may be
stuck!). The saying around here (Chesapeake) is "if you haven't run aground,
you haven't been sailing on the Chesapeake". These will just make it easier to
get stuck.

I guess one goes with the times, and I guess I am stuck in the early '80's,
just because I like the look of those boats - the new ones are pretty in a
different sort of way, but the 41 looks like a hundred other 'cruiser/racers'
with the emphasis on 'racer'. The 30 looks like a Farr 30, and I'm sure I could
get one of those for a fraction of the price. Even after adding the bowsprit.

Oh well.
