There's an M26 down here in La Paz at the moment. I'm sure it was trailered down, not sailed on the outside of Baja. Like many folks, I laughed at it, and smiled when I saw the entire boat rock when the owner set down his coffee cup.

But still, they're having a great time, and can zip out to the islands for a day or two when the winter 'northers' aren't kicking up. I'm sure it would be miserable in anything over 10 knots, but I've noticed that they listen to the local net and stay at the dock when the forecast is for stinky breezes.

And when the time comes they can put it on a trailer for the summer and store it for 50 bucks a month.

<snip> They mentioned to me that they were interested in a M26 and wanted my
opinion on the matter. I explained to them that its a boat that has a very specific
niche and its limitations need to be understood and respected.
