Chuck:

I used Micron 66 this past season.....put one light coat of it over our usual paint, Micron CSC....bottom didn't need a pressure wash when hauled last month, there was nothing to clean and as advertised, absolutely 'no slime'. The boat could back in the water without doing anything to the bottom, however, I will apply another light coat next Spring. Because it was a bit on the cold side the day I applied the Micron 66, I diluted it approx. 10% to make it roll easier. Will do the same next Spring as well.

Don't race our boat Chuck, but if you are asking whether I would use Micron 66 on the bottom of a racer, absolutely.

The 66 is hard and scrubblable compared to the CSC.....if I ran my hand over the CSC (dry) it would leave a black (I use black) chalky, residue......no so with the 66, nothing on my hand.

Too bad for us Canucks, Micron 66 is not sold in Canada. I got a few gallons, coincidentally, from a big Beneteau owner here somehow had some but who sold his boat .

Hi Bob,

I've heard good things about Micron 66; multiseason, hard, fast, scrubbable. Do you use it? Do you race?

Tell your 40' Beneteau friend to get some Micron 66 to avoid the annual painting spree.

Thanks for that, Ken. I'll pass it on to my friend who is trying

I have no experience but Coppercoat was reviewed
    by Practical Sailor recently:

/Coppercoat earned a Poor performance rating at the 12-month mark
(PS, October 2010) and a Poor at the 18-month test checkup (PS,
March 2011). It didn't make the cut after 24 months, so it was not
included in the two-year test results table in the October issue.
    (Search for "Coppercoat

    on www.practical-sailor.com <http://www.practical-sailor.com/> to
find all of the reports on the paint's performance.) And while
Coppercoat is promoted as a 10-year coating, it does require
regular cleaning to expose fresh copper, which is not part of our
protocol for the static panel test and could explain its sub-par
performance. Some readers have reported good results over multiple
seasons from using Coppercoat with semi-monthly cleanings to
    remove slime./
