This is a good opportunity to get all of her deck fittings/penetrations done
properly.I suggest you consider removing everything from the deck like
winches, turning blocks, line clutches, hatches and ports and handrails etc.
(maybe not the toe rail) before painting.  After the paint has cured
reinstall them to last leak free for many years.good procedures to do that
have been discussed on this list many times over the past years.

 

I hope you get a good job: that is a very nice boat you have and I am sure
she has many good years left in her, probably more good years than many of
us have left

Subject: Stus-List MIRAGE Paint Job

 

About a month ago I was looking at a replacement boat for MIRAGE.  After
many hours and conversations, it became apparent that "the new boat" was not
within my means.  David R. pretty much convinced me to hang on to her.
So.MIRAGE is going indoors today to begin a deck and topside repaint.  I'm
sure I'll have questions along the way!
