This is a good opportunity to get all of her deck fittings/penetrations done properly.I suggest you consider removing everything from the deck like winches, turning blocks, line clutches, hatches and ports and handrails etc. (maybe not the toe rail) before painting. After the paint has cured reinstall them to last leak free for many years.good procedures to do that have been discussed on this list many times over the past years. I hope you get a good job: that is a very nice boat you have and I am sure she has many good years left in her, probably more good years than many of us have left Dwight Veinot C&C 35 MKII, Alianna Head of St. Margaret's Bay, NS _____ From: CnC-List [mailto:cnc-list-boun...@cnc-list.com] On Behalf Of Harry Sent: November 21, 2012 7:02 AM To: cnc-list@cnc-list.com Subject: Stus-List MIRAGE Paint Job About a month ago I was looking at a replacement boat for MIRAGE. After many hours and conversations, it became apparent that "the new boat" was not within my means. David R. pretty much convinced me to hang on to her. So.MIRAGE is going indoors today to begin a deck and topside repaint. I'm sure I'll have questions along the way! Harry Northeast 39 Newport, RI _____ No virus found in this message.
